Hi! My name is Charissa (pronounced “Carissa”) and I’m so glad you’re here 🙂
My goal for this website is to share fun and creative ideas for families (meals, activities, crafts, etc.), make you laugh when parenting is crazy (which is all the time), and let you know you’re not alone when parenting is hard (which is also all the time).
I regularly share funny memes and anecdotes, free printables (sign up to receive the password), and honest reflections about parenting.
I live on the East Coast with my husband, dog, and three young boys. After several years in the high school classroom, I now teach part-time, from home. These hats ensure that my supply of shenanigans ranges from full to overflowing –and I love it (…most of the time…)!
People have been telling me for years to write a book (first about teaching, and then, after I became a mom, about parenthood). I would LOVE to write a book, but as a SAHM and WAHM of three young boys, I can barely find time to shower these days! I decided to try a blog instead.
The blog took off a lot faster than I anticipated and it has been such a fun adventure seeing how many connections writing and motherhood have offered. My writing has appeared on many sites, including The Today Show, That’s Inappropriate, Her View From Home, and Sammiches & Psych Meds, to name just a few. This site is organized into three broad “categories” because I think they pretty much cover everything in the parenting experience.
Feel free to follow along with our day-to-day absurdities by liking our Facebook page and following on Instagram and Twitter. You can also follow my Pinterest account for more fun and funny parenting ideas.
I’m excited for the opportunity to navigate the amazing, fun, insane, wonderful train-wreck that is parenting –together!
