I’ve said it many times on this site – my family LOVES holidays and celebrating them in every way possible. New Year’s is no exception, so these free New Year’s coloring pages are our latest family celebratory efforts!
Every year, as part of our family’s New Year’s Eve Countdown, we run through a series of hourly activities from noon until midnight. This year, I’m hoping to use some of these Happy New Year coloring pages as one of our balloon-pop activities. * Note: I update the New Year’s coloring pages packet every year, but I don’t always update the images in this post. If you see an old year in the graphics, rest assured– the file has the upcoming new year (2023, 2024, etc.) on the coloring pages.
What’s included in the New Year Coloring pages download
I’ve put together a few cute and simple New Year’s -themed coloring sheets. I specifically designed this one with my four-year-old in mind, as he loves dinosaurs.
I added this sweet Happy New Year coloring sheet for any cupcake lovers in the bunch. Plus, I thought this might appeal to some little girls without being overly “girly”. Of course, since I’m the lone female in this household, I don’t have anyone to test that theory on…
Obviously, the number “2023” is featured prominently in several of these New Year coloring sheets.
I’ll update these coloring pages each year. Remember to check back next December to grab the updated coloring sheets before New Year’s Eve 2023!

Coloring pages make a great activity on New Year’s Eve when you just need everyone to sit down and chill out for a little bit to help make it until midnight.
Of course, if parents party a little too hard on New Year’s Eve, these printable New Year coloring sheets can also be a good way to take it easy on January 1. Print out a few coloring pages, hand the kids some crayons, and let the adults veg out on the couch for a bit.
