These Valentine’s Day printable bookmarks are my third installment of holiday bookmarks. I made some for my kids for Halloween and Christmas. They are still really excited by them, so here we are again with a new bookmark batch to celebrate Valentine’s Day!Â
This time, I decided to do both color versions and black-and-white versions so my kids could color some of their own as a Valentine’s Day fine motor activity.Â

These Valentine’s Day printable bookmarks are super simple to put together. All you have to do is download, print, cut out, and laminate (I have this laminator and I love it!).
*Of course, it’s completely optional to laminate them, but I highly recommend it. Bookmarks take a beating (well, with four boys, everything takes a beating in our house, but that’s beside the point). Anyway, a bookmark made out of just paper will probably only last a few days.
If you don’t have access to a laminator and don’t want to purchase one, you can make do with packing tape. It’s not as neat (which is a deal-breaker for me) but it can get the job done.Â
Valentine’s Day Cutting & Coloring Activity
Any of the Valentine’s Day bookmarks could be used for cutting practice, but some of the designs are more difficult to cut neatly than others. Take that into account if you decide to have kids do their own cutting. Being the Type A individual I am, I prefer to do the cutting myself.Â
If I want my kids to have the extra cutting practice, or they just want to do the cutting, I do two batches. I have them cut a batch and I also cut a batch. My batch is usually what I laminate, because while a three-year-old with scissors may be fun, it sure isn’t pretty.
The black and white bookmarks are great for giving the kids a Valentine’s Day coloring activity. This year, I plan to give my kids the black and white ones (a whole sheet per child). After they color them, I’ll cut them out and laminate them.Â
Other ways to use the Valentine’s Day Bookmarks
For the full color versions, I plan to print, cut, and laminate those and give a few of them to my kids as little valentines.Â
I’ll also use a few of them as prizes when we do our Valentine’s Day Bingo games (because my kids LOVE playing for prizes, but after a while, I don’t want to give them any more candy). Â
My two oldest are really into reading, but they’re constantly losing their bookmarks. Instead, they leave the books propped open with the spines stretched. I hate seeing that!
As far as I’m concerned, we really can’t have too many bookmarks available around here. I plan to keep making them for every holiday until the novelty wears off (whenever that may be).
